  1. 01Introduction to farm mechanization, Classification of farm machines
  2. 02Unit operations in crop production, Identification and selection of machines 2 for various operations on the farm
  3. 03Introduction to materials used in construction of farm machines, Heat treatment processes and their use in farm machines
  4. 04Familiarization with properties of materials used for critical and functional 2 components of agricultural machines, Different types of steels and alloys for 2 agricultural applications, Identification of heat treatment processes 2 especially for the agricultural machinery components
  5. 05Introduction to seed-bed preparation and its classification
  6. 06Introduction to machines used for primary tillage, secondary tillage, rotary tillage, deep tillage and minimum tillage, viz. mould-board plough, disc plough, chisel plough, sub-soiler, harrows, puddler, cultivators, etc
  7. 07Identification to major functional components of tillage machinery, attachments of the machinery with tractor and adjustments during operation
  8. 08Introduction to hitching systems and controls of farm machinery
  9. 09Familiarization with land reclamation and earth moving equipment
  10. 10Calculation of field capacities and field efficiency
  11. 11Measurement of draft of tillage machinery and calculations for power requirement for the tillage machines
  12. 12Calculation for economics of machinery usage, comparison of ownership with hiring of machines
  13. 13Introduction to sowing, planting and transplanting equipment, viz. seed drills, no-till drills, strip-till drills
